The customizing business has been quite amusing at the same time frustrating as we try to create and recreate the designs that some of our clients want for their own satchels. There’s color combo challenges, shape cut-outs and the search for exotic materials.Then there come’s PRECISE AND HARD TO CUT SHAPES.

If you look at such, you’ll think it’s simple, there are numerous ways into making the custom design you want in a bag. But the most practical and appealing output would have to be through Embroidery.

Happy Mother’s Day!

For all customization thingies, i suppose it’s inevitable to encounter having someone come up with a winged design. May it be a shoe, accessories, shirts, tattoos and of course bags.

Jayne wanted to have this design and we thought that it was really a great idea. We discussed a number of times about the shape and style of the wings. It can’t be too simple and it can’t be too detailed too since we might not be able to pull it off.

These were our choices to base our pattern for the wing designs:

A bit too simple….

Too bold and detailed, we might not be able to do it.

Doable and just the right detail for something classy and feminine.

When we started way back May 2011 It’s been months before we started doing prints on HoneyBadger Satchels. It was around December 2011 when we had a meeting with one of our friends Charize.

She came up with a design (which i thought of bizarre at first :P) with gray pink and Black and white zebra patterns.

Specs:
11 inch Batchel (with hand carry handle)
Matte Leatherette + Zebra Printed Furry Fabric
Silver Buckles

We called this “The RAWR” Batchel. When you think about it… Zebra’s don’t “rawwr”.. but it did seem fitting anyway. haha! This is how it turned out!

We were lucky to have furry/velvety zebra printed material on stock which was good for only one to two 11 inch satchel straps.


Look at how those prints made the bag look “alive” :P with a swishy tail strap hihi

STUDIO BOHEME GIVEAWAY WINNERS!:)

It’s been a long time since we’ve uploaded anything yet. But i’m pretty sure i should be blogging about one of our “firsts” in this customization business.

One of our clients, Clint, chose to have a satchel made with a subtle yet unique design. He sent us a rough draft of how he wanted his satchel to be and I just tweaked it up a bit so we can visualize how it would turn out.

We were excited upon seeing this new thing that would challenge our design skillzz (if i can call it that :P) I tried doing it myself and i was actually feeling too good about it but it turned out to be sucky for the eyes of others..

We showed this to Clint and he tried to say nicely that he didn’t find the first one appealing by sending us an alternative drawing of his own and how he imagined it, and we used that as our pattern.

This satchel shape really forms a lot of ideas for customization due to it’s basic but spacious structure that allows room for various designs whether wild, girly, or plain bizarre.
